"In a world of dogmatic specialists,

it's the generalist

who ends up running the show."

- Tim Ferries.

Hi, I'm Angela Kwak

Business Development Manager-turned-Product Manager

Despite some say that you need to become a specialist to gain expertise, I believe in 'Jack of all trades, master of many'. In order to build a high-quality and detail-oriented product, you need to have a broad range of skills, understand the different dimensions of the market trends and see the unseen interconnectedness of the stakeholders and the team members.

I started my career as a business development manager at a Korean fintech company. In 2015, Korea's fintech industry started to grow and luckily I got an opportunity to join LINE Pay as a project manager and working for Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan entities.

After 2 years, I made an adventure to the MENA market with LINE Dubai and launched two live streaming and content products as a business development manager & project manager. I took this opportunity not to limit myself to the fintech industry but understand broadly different types of products and learn how to build high-quality products in different markets.

Then, I worked for Delivery Hero Vietnam (Formerly, Woowa brothers Vietnam) as a Senior Product Manager and was in charge of Merchant application and internal systems such as In-house billing system, CRM, CMS, etc.

As a product manager who works within the agile framework, I understand what it means to build a product for working through requirements, visualizations, prototypes, and prioritizations.

My multiple years of experience in many different markets, industries, and disciplines have given me unique insights into the product lifecycle and the entire customer journey.

Long story short, I am proudly a generalist who is specialized in building a product.
